Alkaline Water

Day 1 for my Alkaline water routine . This is for my urticaria treatment and I'm hoping this will help. In my researches, I have learned that the following are the benefits of alkaline water:

1. Helps wash toxins out our body.

2. Helps improve our kidneys by cleansing our kidneys.

3. Alkaline water and proper exercise helps in washing our fats and cholesterol. This is helpful for those who are losing weight.

4. Helps in aiding skin allergies, eczema and other skin problems.

5. lessens the sign of aging.

6. helps in indigestion problems

7. improves our taste for food

8. helps us consume nutrients from all our food intake

9. some said that it help them improve their clarity of mind and energy.

Alkaline water is now available in most H20 stations and an alternative is to squeeze some lemons in your drinking water.

Red Meat

Hubby is a red meat eater, which I have adopted for some time now. While preparing our baon this morning, Yaya told me that my sister is bothered by our eating habits. Beef is bad for everyday consumption daw. Due to their concern, I researched about the health effects of Red meat and I found out the following:

1. researches sited that red meat could cause higher risk to cancer. Some linked breast cancer, colon / stomach cancer, lymphoma, bladder cancer and prostate cancer to red meat.

2. Saturated fats from beef can lead to Cardiovascular disease.

3. others could be, diabetes, hypertension, bone loss and arthritis.

Maybe I should start serving fish and veggies for our baon very soon. Pork is a no - no for hubby to be, sayang masarap pa nman ang liempo. At our age, we should WATCH what we eat.

Deliberate before you chew.

Acute urticaria

What is acute urticaria?

Urticaria (sometimes called hives) is an itchy rash caused by tiny amounts of fluid that leak from blood vessels just under the skin surface. Urticaria is classed as:

  • Acute urticaria - if it develops suddenly and lasts less than six weeks. Most cases last 24-48 hours. About 1 in 6 people will have at least one bout of urticaria in their life. It can affect anyone at any age. Some people have recurring bouts of acute urticaria.
  • Chronic urticaria - if it persists longer than six weeks. (Chronic means persistent or ongoing.) This is uncommon.

This rest of this leaflet deals only with acute urticaria. There is a separate leaflet for information about chronic urticaria. http://www.patient.co.uk/showdoc/23068849/

Hope this will end soon =(
