A mark in history - RIP Tita Cory

Today marks the day of mourning of the Filipino community as our former President Corazon Aquino is laid to rest. Requiem started early this morning at the Manila Cathedral Church in Intramuros, Manila. Now it's past 7pm, the cortege is still on its way to Manila Memorial Park. For more than 7hrs, people flocked and gathered in the streets to give their final respects to Tita Cory. This is almost the same scenario when the late Benigno Aquion died back in 1980s.

No rain or hunger stopped the Filipino people in taking part of history.

Thank you Tita Cory for the love, peace and unity you left us. Thank you for the freedom you instill in the lives of the Filipino people. Thank you for making us proud to be a Filipino.

August 1 was the start of mourning and today, August 5, we are in one with your family, in this very historical day. Full military rites is more than what you deserve.

RIP Tita Cory.
